Assistant Manager at Shrimp N Stuff Downtown

Reports To: General Manager
Salary: $33,500-$41,600 dependent on experience, 30-40 hours a week
Job Summary:
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations. This role helps ensure excellent customer service, efficient staff performance, and smooth front- and back-of-house operations.
The Assistant Manager assists with staff supervision, training, scheduling, and maintaining quality and safety standards while helping create a positive dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and quality service.
Supervise and support front-of-house and back-of-house staff during shifts.
Help train, coach, and motivate employees to maintain high service standards.
Assist with staff scheduling and shift coverage.
Address customer questions, concerns, or complaints in a professional manner.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when needed.
Support opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Assist the General Manager with administrative tasks and performance monitoring.

Qualifications:
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience required. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs. Ability to work in a busy restaurant environment.
